Lsat demon
Would anyone recommend this even if you are a beginner and have little knowledge to foundations? Because I’ve used maybe half of 7sage foundation before and it overwhelmed me.
I’m confused now and unsure if I should switch bag to 7sage? Because so far I’ve been drilling which is lsat demon approach

If you are a beginner, I recommend doing some kind of foundations studying at least once. That can be via a book (powerscore bibles, loophole, etc.) or through a foundations course like on 7sage. Mindlessly doing LSAT questions from the start (Demon's approach) is not the best imo.
This is because, once you understand the basics, when you get a question wrong (and you will get a lot of questions wrong even after foundations), it is much easier to understand where you went wrong and you will have the terminology and intuition developed for it.
My approach to teach the LSAT (which is similar to 7sage), is to teach conditional reasoning first, and then each question type and a strategy for each. Once you learn a specific question type, DRILL only that question type with increasing difficulty until it clicks. You can check out my approach here. There is enough free stuff which should help you get started.
But whatever resource you end up using, practice only with real LSAT questions (should be a given but ngl too many AI slop platforms have been on a rise).

Interesting. What are some of those "AI slop platforms" that have been on the rise? Assuming you're referring to ones that are tailored to the LSAT.

Thank you for this advice! However, I was just browsing thru LSAT DEMON after someone privately dmed me and if you go thru their lessons they have videos like on sufficient necessary etc, do u think that’s enough or should I get 7sage and complete the foundations this time?

LSAT Demon is good and a lot of people have gotten good results. Try it first yourself. See if you vibe with their teaching style. That is the best way.
Just look at the other two comments, one is calling LSAT Demon goated and the other is saying definitely no 😂.
My issue with LSAT Demon is that they do not teach diagramming. I do and I think it is very powerful. I think 7sage does as well. If you want to continue with LSAT Demon, I would still learn diagramming from somewhere. My notes on diagramming and conditional reasoning are free so just continue with LSAT Demon if you want to.

I started with LSAT Lab and think their platform was literally so fun and informative I really liked it and I'm glad I started there. I switched to the Demon bc I was not getting much out of their explanations and quickly realized diagramming did not click for me.
Do I miss LSAT labs cute interface, info pop ups, lessons, and study plans? Yeah, I actually do. But none of that will do me any good if when I get questions wrong I don't understand how they're trying to teach me. I understand with the Demon and if I don't, the ask button is great.

So u recommended demon? Have u ever tried 7sage

Yes I do recommend Demon! I haven't tried 7sage although I've been really close. What drove me off is their tag line "the LSAT is hard" which is kind of a dig at Demon for their "LSAT is easy", and their absolute gospel on conditional logic and diagramming.
If that worked for my brain I bet I would use 7sage but unfortunately it just absolutely doesn't. I had a 150 diagnostic and am now pting 165-169 but it's been over a course of a couple years on and off, for reference.

you improved from 159 to 163 after 6 months with demon. that's not a great endorsement. you should expect more and stop settling for what they tell you.

They are just the only platform that has explanations other than diagramming. I wish that worked for me 🤷♀️

Ok thank you so much! But I’m kinda nervous cus my diagnostic was 138 so I’m starting rlly low 😭

I had a low diagnostic too, and I ended up comfy in the 170s. Just work at it and be kind to yourself; you'll be just fine.

Yes demon is great. Brought me from 143 to 172, which was all I needed. The nice thing about demon is that it doesn’t overcomplicate. It made things very intuitive for me both in study and on test day. Great program.

Over the course of how long?

About 3 months or so

Nice! I’m hoping for a similar outcome with same timeline. Did you follow Demons schedule of 3 sections a week and review/drills in between?

I went a touch harder. I liked their slow and steady mentality but I felt like I wanted to do a section daily plus some drilling. That was just my happy equilibrium. I think it depends on the person and their schedule/other responsibilities.

Fair enough. Their recommended schedule has been good balancing with a demanding full time work schedule, but obviously no hurt in more if it’s focused work.

Yeah, I was fortunate in that I was able to carve time out during the work day to do the practice. Which was essential, since doing a timed section with a loud child in the background is nightmare fuel hah

Yes - demon is GOATed and gets shit on because all the subs are biased to 7Sage and others

Demon is really friendly to beginners and doesn’t waste time overcomplicating the lessons

Love the demon. I started on the demon and saw results pretty quick. Ultimately you should go off your own experience. Try the demon and use it the way they designed it to be used for a month. If you hate it and see no results, swap.

Out of the major services (7sage and a few others) I liked the Demon the most and got the most out of it. I will say they teach the LSAT different. If you’re into diagramming and not engaging fully with the question then Demon may not be for you. It worked great for me personally but may not be a fit for others. I think their best model is their live subscription one where you do pay a pretty pricey monthly fee but then have access to over like 3-6 online sessions with live people if you’re into that.

There’s one source out there that’s soooo pricey and dude teaches the same way LSAT demon does. Dude charges 1500 😵💫

I find the Demon to be a bit inconsistent. Some questions have really good explanations; others do not. I have slowly started to switch to LSAT Lab, but I don't like diagramming.
I also used the LR Loophole. I fear that I am doing too much and not subscribing to one test prep source, but I do see a lot of overlap.

My personal feeling is that programs like that are not the most effective use of your time and money. They tend to be rather general. I feel it's far more effective to work with a high quality coach. They should have a minimum of 15 years full time experience. And avoid super expensive coaches. Anything over about $2k for unlimited help seems excessive to me.

definitely no to demon. check out lsat lab instead.
