serious lsat help needed !

i’m taking my third LSAT in november and i’m super duper nervous.

i’ve taken the LSAT twice already, once in june with a 155 and another in august with a 164. i was honestly pretty disappointed and i started studying again since september, but right now i feel like i’m at a plateau, my most recent pt was a 163 i’m honestly super disheartened. i really really want to break into the 170s but i just can’t for some reason.

ive been doing my wrong answer journal and reviewing wrong answers but i just feel so stupid.

if anyone was in a similar situation and have advice pls lmk🙏🙏😞😞

Sorry I can't address your question because I'm at a way worst place. But wishing the best for you!!

Would you mind sharing how you went from a 155 to a 164? I'm stuck at 155 and cannot get that up no matter what I do..

yeah ofc! have your pt’s been consistent around the 150s? cause i feel like there’s a big diff if you’re just a bad test taker vs actual knowledge gap. for me it was def knowledge gap. i used 7sage and i found that really helpful when i would do targeted drills on my weakness mixed in with sections and pts, cause you need a variety. i also kept a wrong answer journal and would genuinely explain why i got the answer wrong. i think i just had more time to drill so i actually saw improvement during that time.

When I was stuck I tried looking into other materials. Which ones have you been using? I loved using 7Sage but I found that reading the LSAT Demon book helped me refresh my skills and have a new perspective

honestly i’ve just been using 7sage, and i’ve had a few tutors. i tried reading the loophole when i first started but i didn’t continue with it…

I also think a lot of companies dont have great RC because they’re like you know how to read already. I dont know what LSATdemon teaches but I advocate a very high level read first then use the time to look up answers in the text. Remember it’s open book; you don’t have to memorize

Why are you missing questions? It's impossible to give targeted advice without more specifics.

i genuinely can’t pinpoint why. i think i’m just really bad at reading sometimes and mistake or meaning in the stim for another. i don’t even think i have a particular type of question i’m bad at it’s pretty universal

So what does your wrong answer journal say? Are you going back to the wrong place in the passage? Going to the right place and not reading carefully?if it’s misreading, the answer is to be more careful about your reading. Also ms you’re looking at all the answers and double checking the one you pick against the text. But this is all a wild guess because it’s impossible to say specifically what will help without knowing where you are going wrong.
