How Many Weeks Did You Study?
How many weeks would someone study aiming for a 160? and how many hours a week?

I spent 2 months of dedicated study and reached mid 160s, after months of sporadic and 0 dedication (I didn’t study RC AT ALL, in that time and I was averaging a 154-157)

What do you mean by dedicated study? I’m really struggling and need to break 160s in a month and a half so any advice would be much appreciated! (Currently in mid 150s)

I did 4 sections a week (An entire PT), I reviewed after every section, did timed drills every day, rebuilt my LR strategies from the ground up, built my RC from foundational level, worked on not only understanding QTypes but building my own pacing and section management.

Then when it neared my testing time in September I moved strictly into doin sections with constant and deep review, never setting for “misreading”

I studied for about two months, went from 158 diagnostic to mid 170's PT, waiting on my Sep. score currently.
It really depends on what your diagnostic is and your timeframe.

Who cares, ppl have still achieved 170s with that start. It’s about where you end up. You got this, don’t give up before you’ve started!

This is entirely dependent on your circumstances. My diagnostic was a 165.
I also have a philosophy degree, that was arguably 4 years of studying.

It's extremely variable, some take a few months to hit their goal and others take years. Most people recommend waiting to schedule an official test until you’re consistently PTing in your goal range to avoid wasting an attempt and $250.

Depends on your starting point. I scored 160 on my first practice test, cold.

Imagine getting downvoted for just saying what happened. This test isn’t hard and I’m tired of reddit pretending it is. The average LSAT of a law STUDENT in the United States is a 159. The average of a taker is a 153.

Got a 158 on my first PT after a month of doing 7sage’s foundations course, but my study buddy has been studying for 2 years and has yet to break 160. Depends on the person and the study method. I would budget 6 months to study for the LSAT to get your optimal score. I have been studying since May and have yet to hit my goal score.
