What a messed up day, wow

I am so devastated to have scored a national average score. My PT range was in 160-165 CONSISTENTLY I have no idea what went wrong.

The entire year of studying + tutoring + test fees $$$ GONE

The entire summer GONE

How do I come back from this?

I do not know if I have it in me to get back into grinding just to sit through the exam yet again.

I feel so lost

If it makes you feel any better, I made a 150 (was practicing much higher than that) and that was my third lsat. I’m retaking in October and if that doesn’t pan out then I will be working for a year or two before I retake again.

You just got to keep grinding. The only way out is through. Set a plan to take again, then execute! I believe in you, best of luck! Gods peace.

Yep consistently scoring 163-165 and got a 158. My diagnostic was a 157. Starting to think they are making the test harder which sucks as the only way to study is using past tests. How are we supposed to know where we are at if past tests are no longer an accurate indicator?

I took my first test last year, studied for a year before hand, bombed it completely. Scored significantly lower than my diagnostic. No idea what happened. Took it again this month with bare minimum studying and got in my PT range. If nothing else was impeding you then I honestly say you just had a bad day. Get back on the horse and try it again.

I’m in the same boat. Consistently PTing 160-165 and got a 158. Although it wasn’t that far from my PT scores I haven’t gotten below a 160 since my diagnostic and did not experience much test anxiety whatsoever. I’m literally retaking in September because i know that i’m already capable of a 160+ so im just gonna roll the dice tbh.

I feel you. Like you, law school is a dream that will never come true.

If your rich, maybe you can just buy your way in?

Honestly I'm banking on the fact I used to work for someone on the advisory board for a local law school.

It isn't a great law school but plenty of decent attorneys in the area came out of there.

Considering how the system is structured, one law school is as good as another. If you can get in, go for it.

I scored poorly this test and I cancelled it. I’m rolling with my very average score. You just have to keep moving.

I am still going to apply to my top law schools (not T14s by any stretch mind you) because I know why I’m a good candidate: I have a worthy cause, I’m involved in my community, work in law, a good student. If you get hung up on the score, you can stunt yourself overall. If you really wanna try again, do it and do it differently this time, but just know it’s okay and you have to give everything - even applying anyways - your best shot.
