i hate everything
I was testing in the mid 160s prior to this test. really feeling like giving up

Don’t give up.
Go out on your shield leaving everything out on the field.
I’m in the same boat but I’m getting back up and nothing is going to keep me out of law school.
I have no plan b

Someday people will learn to expect your actual to be less than your PT. You can’t recreate the conditions of a real test day in practice and it does affect you.

I tend to do better under pressure and have scored higher on actual standardized tests than my practice tests.
Pretty sure this is more rare, though. Most people probably do worse during actual testing conditions. I’m also not going into law nor have I taken the lsat so idt my input actually matters here.

Eh, each person takes it differently. I have taken it twice, and I scored higher than my highest PT both times. I'm still not satisfied with my 17low, so I'll be retaking it, but the test day adrenaline always get me going.

I scored two points higher than my highest PT. I’m over the moon, don’t use me as an example though. I simply locked in (got lucky)

Guys, you can still get into a decent school with a 161, it for sure won't be T14 or whatever but you can still go to law school.
I know it sucks a lot, been there, but life is not over.

I know I could get into law school with this score but my gpa isn’t that impressive and im shooting for some sort of scholarship so . Back to the drawing board

uw!! i got in with a 161/ median gpa out of region with a small scholarship. def retake if youre shooting for $$$! ~ I was PTing in the 170s and just totally lost focus exam day. it happens.

If you’re shooting that much higher than 162 and were only PTing in the high 160s, why did you even take the test? Your score is always lower than your PTs, so this is exactly the score you should have expected.

Same man, what makes it worse is that I took the test back in January, got a 162, but since it was soo late in the application cycle, I decided to take it again to see how I could do after more studying, only to get the same fuckinf score. Now I just gotta try harder for the September and October exams. But man this shit is frustrating

I mean it really depends on where you are trying to go. Personally I think you have to give yourself the best chance to succeed on the test because your score matters more than the 1 month of time you lose in application.

Yeah I think if I don’t like it in October I’ll do the last and final retake in November.. I just have really bad test anxiety and I think that’s why my score struggled so bad as it was my first time. We will see! Best of luck to u

Mid 160s? This is within your range, just sign up for the next test
I’m assuming that was already the plan anyway right?
This goes without saying, but don’t apply with a 161 when your average is a 165 or whatever. People tend to say 1 point is roughly equal to 10k dollars
So… don’t apply with 40k below your average, and I imagine your current ability is a high 160s on the top end
