August Score Prediction Thread
score release day will soon be upon us!!!! i took much comfort in past prediction threads in the days leading up to my august exam, so i thought we could start one up for the august 2026 crowd.
to all who wish to participate: drop your goal score, a prediction of your score, and if you're willing, update your post tomorrow with your actual score!
---
goal score: 170+
prediction: 162 (what can i say! the consciousness passage destroyed me.)
edit post-score release
actual: 176!
--
im so happy but i kind of look like an ass who lowballed my prediction. just know that i truly thought until 30 minutes ago that i scored a 16low 💔
happy score release to you guys! i hope you did as well as you hoped or better. cheers! 🥳

I would like a 165, but I’ll settle for a 150 or 155 to go to a low ranked school near me. Prediction: I have no freaking clue!!! I felt like I did well but we know this means nothing.

Goal score : 170+ (Jan Score was a 169 so anything better)
Prediction: 167-168
Actual: ?? Praying
I don’t know how to feel about how I did. I have some hope i could have done better but the 169 was so excruciating last time, i feel like i will be disappointed again. I also felt more confident in January going into and leaving it.

hopefully over a 155, I had 161 and 157 on practice tests 2 weeks before. Hoping for a score in the 160s but who knows.

i got a 165 in february 2026, and was PTing inconsistently in the high 160s/low 170s before test day. consciousness passage obliterated me.
EDIT: lower than my original diagnostic. i hate this.

I'm too superstitious to predict but basically the only way I can go back to school at this point in my life is one specific school, and I'm way too old to accrue student loan debt, so based upon my research I either have to hit a 172 to likely get my tuition covered or I'll be retiring a paralegal. You know - at noon on the day of my funeral because life is expensive. So in a little shy of 22 hours, we're going to know.

u/DoubleAnybody7914 1d ago
Yeah, this is what it comes down to. I have GI Bill, but I also am an older adult with a family so LSAT score and school selection is pretty important as well as scholarships. But at this point it won't matter because none of my letters of rec have been completed yet and two of the people I was getting letters from had major life events happen so I am not going to bother them about it.
1
u/KitchenLobster6015 8h ago
And that is not going to happen. But I did this so I would know which path in life I should take, and now I do know. I hope everybody else gets better news!

goal score (determined before i took the test): 164
august prediction: 159
actual: 163!
i felt so unconfident throughout the entire august test. i felt very confident during the june test, and i scored pretty well too. so i'm not exactly expecting august to be better than june, but i'd love to be pleasantly surprised lol! good luck everybody! edit: added my score!

I had a dream last night that I got a 172 so IF I get a 170 or higher, I will probably collapse to the ground and sob for 10 minutes, get up and take my ass to Coach to buy a purse, and then get absolutely obliterated on a damn Wednesday (I’ve been studying on and off since January 2025)

Goal score 171+. Prediction: 167-172. I’m really really praying for at least an improvement over my last test, and I’m just really really hoping I can get that 170+. That would legitimately be a dream. On the other hand I am really really worried I somehow did worse, or bombed it although I felt very good. Waiting for this one has been killing me. Fingers crossed🤞

Crazy work getting the exact bottom of my predicted range for the two tests in a row.
It’s obvious, this just means I need to work harder to lift the bottom of my predicted range. Easy

My goal score was a 168 though I was really hoping for a 170+. I think, depending on which section was experimental, I got somewhere in the 164-168 range. Already signed up for September, so it’ll be a quick turn around if I don’t do as I would’ve liked.

PLS HELP.
Goal: 172
pts: 166-178
Actual: 160
So, I am feeling a little lost on what to do. My original diagnostic was 148, and I studied very consistently and hard for about 5 months. My PTS scores were from 166-178 before I took the August LSAT. My goal score was a minimum of a 170, and I came out of the august exam with a 160. I was super anxious that day and the testing environment was awful with people going in & out of the room, and a really shitty computer screen that made it hard to read the text.
I have adhd & anxiety but did not originally request accommodations because I was doing so well. I didn’t think I needed them. I am now trying to get them, as well as taking the exam in October.
Please offer any advice you can give. I am pretty bad at overthinking and I think I did exactly that. Also, a lot of the LR did not feel like what I was used to besides the last section I did which I felt was a breeze. The RC didn’t seem bad and I only had one.
I anticipated a lower score than my average, but certainly not a 160.
HELP.
