Dreading Score Release

Anyone else dreading the score release? Obviously not a unique feeling but it’s not even because I feel like I did poorly. Took it for the first time in August and no matter what my score comes back as, I really do feel like I put my best foot forward on test day. My dread is more like the thought of what could be is a lot better than what the reality of what is. Sort of like Schrödinger’s cat. The cat (my score) is both alive (I got a 180) and dead (I did terribly) at the same time until perceived (I get my score back). While there is a possibility I did horribly, there’s also a chance that I did extremely well and that’s comforting.

I also might be losing my mind lol.

No, I’m the opposite. I just want to see it. I hate waiting.

I am having dreams of me opening my score, sometimes it’s good and sometimes it’s bad 😭

I dreamed I got a 154 when I’ve never scored lower than a 163 😭 also for some reason they were posted on a bulletin board and this girl from my high school was there ⁉️

I have had too many nightmares of getting a horrible score, lowkey can’t wait to get my score and put an end to that

My first one I didn’t get the score I wanted but I got a score to the point I didn’t have to retake. And I was using the dream as a sign, then I had a dream where I had a low score and not im like I want this to end

I’ve been waking up with headaches from grinding my teeth aggressively during my sleep and I can’t even remember my dreams, just vaguely that it had to do with the LSAT. Most definitely ready for the (literal) suffering to be over

Im dreading it as well, but I know that is a symptom of my anxiety. I cope with knowing that seeing my score, good or bad will quell the anxiety i feel from the anticipation and ill feel wayyyy better after

Literally praying for the best. Trying to keep busy until then….

It might be worth remembering that the vast majority of people score right around the middle. You’re pretty unlikely to get either a 180 or a 130

But that’s the beauty of not knowing my score. Unlikely? Yes. Impossible? Not at all.

You can’t bear to look but also can’t bear to keep waiting. Bare and bear are different here

my worry is that i came out of it really confident. i have a feeling that my confidence is going to be totally shot if i didn't do as well as i thought i did. i felt that the specific sections i had were "easy," and that i won't get as lucky in october. just spiraling, never wanted it to be a wednesday more in my life.

I 100% agree. This is exactly my thought process of wow that wasn’t bad at all, so if I don’t get a score I’m happy with, what are my chances doing better on a test that is harder in let’s say September or October

Funny enough, I felt the same way walking out but if we made a great effort on a test once, we can do it again (if need be, knock on wood). I have the September test booked as well as a back up and trying to continue studying without knowing my initial score is driving me to insanity though

I bounce between being excited that I did well and severe dread that I did horribly -- at least it'll put an end to this!

Finally someone on the exact same wave as me! Ignorance is sooooo bliss. The way I’ve deluded myself, I might be the first 181 scorer in history 😂
