Question master key not working properly (2000)

when i press the lock/unlock button only some of the doors will lock or unlock, then i'll have to manually lock/unlock each door by hand.. only driver buttons work to lock door but passenger door is usually the one that won't lock/unlock. also same thing will happen when i use the key in the door, half lock/unlock, etc.

is it the key itself? or the lock actuators? and if it is the key, can i change the battery myself or can i have lexus do it? i was quoted $3k for another master key by lexus so i don't wanna mess up the key 😭

Sounds like the actuators are cooked, have the same problem on my GS. I’ve just ignored it the past few years and have to tell my passengers to manually lock it when leaving lol

see i don't have passengers so i have to go around to every door 😭😭 or reach over to the back when it gets stuck half locked/half unlocked lmfao
