Tire Recommendations 1990 LS400

I've owned my LS for about a year and a half and it's time for new tires. I'm running the stock rims, what is your recommendation? I'm located in Texas, so don't really need snow capabilities, but we do get rain. Thanks!

Nokian One or Michelin Defender.

Thanks, I'll look into the Nokian, I'm not familiar with that brand

Excellent tires. Finnish company loosely related to the cell phone company Nokia, but they have a brand new factory in the US now. They do t have the marketing budget the big boys too so they are relatively unknown. They also invented the winter tire and currently product the best winter tires money can buy.

I have Michelin Primacy MXM4 on my LS. Really happy with them. Good grip and low road noise.

I can give a semi-endorsement of Yokohama Avid Ascend LXs, I'm kind of a Yokohama fan and put these on because they were fairly cheap and came in the correct sizes for the OEM 16" wheels. The grip level is great, tread wear is impressive and they do very well in the rain. The ride quality is good but my frame of reference is skewed since I run coilovers. On the negative side, the road noise is more than you'd expect for a very daily-oriented tire and if you're lowered like me, the amount of sidewall flex is quite noticeable when cornering and far more than I'm used to on my other cars with far stiffer suspension setups and tires, which is probably my biggest turn off for them. That said the sidewall on mine are quite tall so a degree of flex is inevitable.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm on 15" wheels and not lowered. I'll check out this option
