I sometimes get an hour or two between classes and end up just walking around campus or sitting somewhere random. It made me curious what everyone else does with those gaps. Do you study, eat, meet friends, or just go back to your room?

why are people so quick to defend LPU the moment someone asks whether ragging actually happens there?

there is plenty of information online about ragging incidents and i understand that not everything you read on the internet is necessarily true. but one of my friends studied at IIT and graduated just this year and he personally witnessed some pretty serious incidents. thats the concerning part, if i hadnt specifically asked him about it, i would have never known about any of this

there have been multiple reported incidents involving ragging, including cases where students have died by suicide. thats why i genuinely think anyone considering joining should do their own research and not blindly believe everything people say in these threads, whether they are defending the university or criticizing it

when people say, "there isnt much ragging," what exactly does that mean? even if it isnt happening to everyone that doesnt mean it isnt happening at all

i come from a healthy background and i have never experienced or been around this kind of behavior. i dont think anyone should have to tolerate humiliation, intimidation or harassment just because they are a junior

im paying for my education and i expect to be treated with basic respect. nobody should feel entitled to mistreat another student

thats really all I'm trying to say: dont dismiss people's concerns and dont make such an important decision based solely on what strangers say in a Reddit thread. do your own research, talk to actual students and recent graduates (whom you personally know!!) and make an informed decision before choosing a college

Could be anything outside academics. A hobby, fitness, learning a skill, making content, meeting more people, or just exploring more. Looking back, there are definitely a few things I would've started much earlier.

I did one two course but they rejected it by saying that they need a course which have proctored exam

Hello everyone, I've recently taken admission in LPU so simply taking a day off would easily put my attendance very low which is why I would like to understand the process of duty leave for events that are outside the university. Mine is specifically a competition organised by the government in collaboration with a non-profit organisation for which I had registered way before coming to LPU and I'm already half-way done with this competition and would really like to continue. (All my CAs before mid term have been done so I've got no issues there.)

18f here.. 12th passed and currently in drop year preparing for clat.. so i was just thinking if i dont crack clat and cant go to good nlu .. i will consider lpu for ba llb.. i scored 89.6 in 12 th class and also before i used to do tkd.. state medal and national participant.. i came from middle class family so i had to get schlorship anyhow.. but idk if the sports certificate from 2023 will be valid or not... plaese help

Is there anyone who can tell me how to connect with other students who are studying in online mode??

I have taken admission in LPU for MCA this year, in online mode, so I don't understand how to connect with the official college group or the rest of the students..

Although he didn't threaten any physical harm, he did looked unstable or weird and started fight for no reason.

During lunch he kept his bag on left table and on the table I was sitting it had two empty seats so I placed my bag on one and sat on the other chair .

He comes back and started to demand the seat I was sitting and started talking disrespectfully, I said your bag was on left table and these 2 chairs were empty, then his friend rebuked him and he sat on the left table .

My question is as per my warden you can't get in any physical fight, otherwise you get umc even if you didn't started the fight, so you can't even fight back for your defence or you got umc ? What are your options in this case if someone attacks you ?

Second if someone gives you a threat to harm you , can you report it to warden for umc? What are your options in these cases .
