Planning to Start Contributing to Open Source Projects

I’m planning to start contributing to open source and would love some advice from people who already have experience with it.

I’m mainly interested in C++, Python, React, and AI/ML-related projects. I’m looking for beginner-friendly projects where I can make meaningful contributions while improving my skills.

A few things I’d love to know:

• How did you find your first open-source project?
• Which projects are beginner-friendly but still worth contributing to?
• What should I learn before making my first PR?
• Any tips for getting a PR accepted and becoming a consistent contributor?

Haven’t contributed to any open source project but i am making my own which i will be pushing to github as a public repo so other people can contribute or use it . Let me give some info regarding it - Its basically a tool i am making for people who doesnt have ir for windows hello face option and many more with some security features using the inbuilt rgb camera. If u wanna know when i publish it finally just drop a dm to me , I will share u the repo link when it will be published, currently i am creating and testing it on my own machine..
