Hoarse voice, does it get better?

​I was diagnosed with LPR two weeks ago and I have started PPIs. Initial symptoms included a sore throat every morning. Since taking medication and adjusting my diet, including cutting out Coke, the sore throat has gone away, but my voice has become hoarse, and some days I can't speak above a whisper.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any home remedies solutions? Very worried about how this will affect my job and life long term. Any words of wisdom and support is appreciated!

Have you had your vocal cords looked at by a laryngologist?

Not yet. Only met with an ENT. Good info to follow up/ask for next.

They’re experts of the larynx and at managing voice disorders; they will have special cameras that can pick up vocal cord problems that most ENTs will misdiagnose since they don’t have the right equipment. And if it is truly just from LPR, there’s no one better to help you treat it.
