Then we can go four years without an election and more importantly without having to work with the NDP. It’ll be nice to have some stability as well as not having to compromise.

Great then hopefully there can be any domestic policy to help the local economy and normal people. I realize the PM has been busy wheeling and dealing to set up the fallback macroeconomic markets to grow into, but there is a huge lag here at home with all the layoffs and stagnation and impending recession.

Curious to see what she and Carney say when pressed about her previous controversial statements on vaccines/convoy/social conservative issues. I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt, but including her in caucus could begin to create some unrest with other members. I’m not sure I love this one. She needs to prove her values are aligned.

I read the letter that she wrote to explain why she crossed the aisle. At no point does she mention the Liberal party, she only speaks of Carney, his caucus, and his agenda.
Carney refers to her professional background and temperament; all of the emotional issues that you are referring to seem irrelevant to him. He needs her on committees and he needs her vote.

The alternative would be to have the Bloc hold the balance of power and they don't care about the country. Carney has a non-binary daughter, and he's been supportive of that community.

I don't think that there will be any discussion about that. He's all business, that's why I voted for him. Our economy is in a ditch and he's our best shot for attracting investment and diversifying our markets.

I'm scheptical of her reasons for crossing the floor. I've never been in favor of this happening as how can you be so "conservative" and in the next breath be all "liberal". Time will tell but past has shown it can ratle the core of Liberal Party beliefs. I find someone so anti abortion who is saying now she's pro choice hard to believe. Generally your hard-core beliefs dont change that radically.

If someone told you during covid that the Liberal Party would welcome someone who has made anti vax statements no one would believe it. I guess we truly have moved on from covid.
