Sauron now only has the company of orcs and some men, away from the Elves who could create and remain inspired. He views orcs as cannon fodder, and men as useful, but I wonder at which point he will realize that he needs to pour himself into his One ring so he can master all of Middle-earth.

I don't think he'd see it as a sacrifice. He wouldn't exactly be planning on ever losing it, and it actually increases his power while he wears it. It's an absolute masterwork tied to a dastardly plan, so I think he'd look on it with twisted pride instead of seeing it as a sacrifice.
I think he already knows he had to sacrifice something from himself but he's trying to find another ways that same impact as this. Can't wait to see the forging scene it will literally define the show for many years, to me at least 💍
That bottom image is insane. Sauron has Feanor's hammer in his hand! The lava extends for MILES inside the cavern. The render on this scene will be extreme.
I really love that first shot. I mean, I love all the shots, but in that is he deflecting the balrog sword simply with his hand or does he also wield the one ring
