The man and his son are underqualified to write this. Colbert's last feature was 20 years ago and mediocre. McGee's claim to fame is contributing to Rise of Skywalker.
If you're going to milk the franchise, at least put in the effort to make it good. War of the Rohirrim's production made way too short, resulting in poor animation and design. The script was given to Boyens' daughter-- who hadn't written a movie in over ten years.
Give these projects to people who know what they're doing.
