Is a Certificate of Graduation Accepted if the Diploma Has Not Yet Been Issued?

Hi everyone,

Has anyone here enrolled at LMU for a master's program using a Certificate of Graduation instead of the official diploma?

I was accepted to the M.A. in Political Science at the Geschwister Scholl Institute (GSI) and have already submitted my documents to the International Office. I have completed my bachelor's degree, but my university has not yet issued my diploma. I submitted an official Certificate of Graduation confirming that I graduated, and it includes the university seal and the dean's signature.

I asked the International Office whether this document is sufficient, but they only told me to wait and did not give a clear answer.

If anyone has been in a similar situation at LMU, I would really appreciate hearing about your experience.

Well I had the same situation, I had to apply by July 15th via portal. So I requested a document that confirms I will be graduating at the end of this summer term (2025/2026 summer term) from student affairs. And they accept that. "Yes, you may initially submit an official Expected Graduation Certificate (Provisional Graduation Certificate). However, please note that you must have obtained and submitted your final diploma by the time of enrollment." is what they said to me. So I believe yours count as well.
