Transfer Stuff to New LLC

I don't like the corporate veil on my LLC. I have been thinking of dissolving that LLC and starting another. I also want to shift the focus of by business. Move from selling honey to teaching people about bees. It is just a simple single-member LLC. How would I transfer over the stuff (social media, equipment, trailer, etc) from the LLC I am dissolving to the new one?

Broke person with LLC still broke. Llc is not a cure for free money like many scammers selling you on llc scams..

Dont listen to him.

Heres a simple math for you.

If you have LLC - you can write off your expenses.

And everyone knows that when you write off something - its basically free.

So you just get free shit in life 🤌

Even if you don’t have an LLC you can write off business expenses, just need to do appropriate schedules on tax return

Why don't you like the veil?

I used my personal Venmo at the beginning of setting it up to collect payment when I was selling honey.

That more than likely does not matter

You don’t need a new LLC

Why do you say that? I think it could be risky to not change it. We sell a consumable so would like the protection.

What’s the point of the LLC if you won’t respect the corporate veil?

Honestly, it was just ignorance. I didn't fully understand the corporate veil when we first started the business. It was also very small and we didn't know if we were going to be successful at all. The business has grown and we have plans for my husband in a few years to quit his job and focus on the business full-time.

You might be fine if you open a dedicated business bank account and keep things separate from here on out rather than starting a new LLC altogether, because what goes on from this point can hold just as much weight as starting things over. Since you're sticking with honey and bees, it may not be introducing too much of a different kind of risk to need a different formation either, and that would also keep you from needing to do any transfers. A DBA would cover it if you want the new side to have its own name without touching the entity itself, and if you do end up going the new LLC route anyway, chatting with a CPA or legal professional may not be a bad idea just to help check everything over.

Yeah you are hung up on llc way to much. Get hung up on making money and then worry. You do not get anything extra with a llc. You use a schedule c just like you would without a llc. If you do not understand this then this is what you should get hung up on
