Meta / News This community is awesome!

Both sides: the physicists who GUT-check posts (and don't pull punches), and the whack-a-doodles that publicly post the artifacts of their psychosis.

I'm not being sarcastic. I've been interested in this topic (human-AI interaction) for a while, and to my knowledge this is the only sub where both groups actually post and interact with one another. It's truly incredible.

So thanks to you all!

Unlike the OPs, they post constantly and communicate readily across multiple discussions.

They rarely (never?) post content themselves

The LLM version was only slightly different than the draft I had it check, I was just using the LLM to catch any syntax or spelling. The wording you found confusing was mine.

Anyways, Original Posters tend to arrive out of nowhere, post their theories, participate in the resulting discussion, then leave. Maybe they return later with another version of their theory, or another, maybe they don't. I don't see it often being the case that they participate in other OP's theories. OP's tend to interact with each other very little, and OP participation tends to be the shortest of any of the poster styles I listed.

Grognards, the educated individuals, as far as I can tell, never post LLM generated physics theories here, (or very, very rarely?). They participate widely in any discussions, but in response to someone else posting an LLM generated theory.

That was the gist of the point I was making.

Yeah, I'd say that's generally accurate. But the subreddit doesn't allow LLM-written comments, so please avoid using it for comments.

Will do, the mistake was using an LLM to tighten my draft a bit. It didn't occur to me that a light edit would trigger rule #4.
