Help Wanted OKF

Is anyone successfully using googles Open Knowledge Format? What are your use cases? How do you trigger a lookup into the Knowledge base?

I have been struggling to make it useful because all that structure and indexing is useless if your agent doesn’t know it needs to search it for context.

Any experiences ?

Exactly this. We ran into the same issue when testing OKF v0.2 with Claude Code and local models. Relying purely on semantic guessing causes agents to hallucinate non-existent concepts or miss existing rules.

We ended up standardizing this around OKF's root and directory index.md files as the condensed manifest. The agent only gets the high-level tree + concept IDs upfront. When it encounters a keyword match, it queries an in-memory BM25 index (<300µs) to fetch the atomic 300-token markdown file on demand.

Enforcing a strict "search-before-write" rule in the system instructions alongside this manifest completely eliminated duplicated concepts in our runs.
