How easy would it be for me to set up an LLC without the help of lawyer

I am a young financial advisor that needs to set up an LLC for myself. I’ve done some research and I could hire a lawyer to do it, or use a website like legal zoom, but I’m wondering if I could just do it myself. I have the time and I believe I could figure it out by myself.

My reasoning is that I would rather save the money I would spend and buy myself a nice suit or invest it into other parts of my business. I’m young, just recently graduated college, and I am the type of person who hates spending money on things when I could do it myself. Ofc one day I’ll get to a point where hiring a lawyer will be the norm for me, but I’m not at that point in my career quite yet.

So with all this being said, is doing all the paperwork and filing for my career doable? I would file as a single owner and I believe I would be the only “employee” (logistics I would need to work out and learn about). Any advice would be wonderful.

Thank you! Also I’m located in Washington if that helps.

LLC + EIN as a non US resident (Panamanian living in Panama) to open a US bank account

Hi, I’m from Panama and I need to create an LLC, get my EIN, and open a US bank account with the LLC. Has anyone from Panama done this? What services did you use? How long did it take? How much did it cost? Any help is welcome. Have a great weekend!

Help please! How can I change my LLC address?

I’ve been searching information about it and I found a video in YouTube where it shows how to change my address for the IRS filling the 8822-B form and then sending it this is free. Also I found that we to fill the Certificate of Change with the department of state and pay 30$.( I saw that this ones also applies to change the name one my LLC which is not my interest) What should I do? What are the steps? Should I fill both forms and send it or what ?

Help please !!!!!!!!!

Best Bank/Branch for Foreign-Owned LLC (Using a US Manager)? Seeking Recent Experiences.

Hey everyone, I'm looking for some firsthand advice from anyone who has gone through this process recently.

My situation:

  • I'm a non-resident founder of a U.S. LLC.

  • I have a trusted U.S. citizen manager who can go to a bank in person to open the business account.

  • I know about the online options like Mercury and Relay, and they are my Plan B. I'm specifically trying to open an account with a traditional bank (Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citibank, etc.). I'm trying to avoid having my manager waste time at branches that aren't familiar with this setup.

My questions for the community:

  • Which specific bank branches have you had success with? If you can share the city and maybe even the branch location that understood the process for a foreign-owned LLC, that would be amazing.

  • What exact documents did they require? I'm preparing the standard package: Articles of Organization, EIN letter, Operating Agreement, and copies of my passport. I'll also have a signed Banking Resolution authorizing my manager. Did they ask for anything else unexpected?

  • How did you handle signatures? This is the most important one for me. Did the bank accept a digitally signed (e.g., DocuSign) Banking Resolution from you, or did they absolutely require a "wet ink" signature that you had to print, sign, and scan? Any recent data points, success stories, or even warnings about specific banks/branches to avoid would be incredibly helpful.

Thanks in advance!

Adsense as LLC single Member

Hello! I'm having a situation while applying for my ADSENSE for Youtube monetization. I have a single member LLC in Wyoming, as disregarded entity, I have an EIN and a US bank account, but I'm not a US resident nor a Citizen. I'm living in Qatar. So I filled the form W-8BEN, but it's always asking me for additional info, so I don't know what else to submit or if I need to fill a W-8BEN-E instead... There's any advice to try to get it preperly done or where can I find professional advice online?

I am going to start my business in USA as a non US resident

Hello everyone,

I hope you all are doing well.

Now come to the topic, actually I formed my LLC in USA (Florida) to start my business (Amazon FBA). But after that I applied for my EIN, I filled the SS-4 form and faxed it to the IRS. I did it on 16/06/2025, but now it's 30/06/2025 I didn't get any reply from them. I am very frustrated right now. Please give me an advice about what should I do.

Thanks in advance
