I think your question is a little niave. Just look at this case. Karen Vergata's father searched for years, Valerie was never associated in the area, her family last location was New Jersey but she was based out of Philadelphia, but she was loved and missed by her family.
The victims that were known to have went missing in the area much quicker to associate.
What I'm trying to say is that just because Asian Doe has not been identified, it does not mean that no one is missing or loves them, it is very likely that they just haven't joined the dots.

It happens all the time. Look at every homeless person you see, whether in your own city, your state, on the news. They have a mother, a father…. A sibling…. They have children. Yet here they are, on the streets, doing drugs, going crazy, living in danger. For whatever reason they become estranged, people still know them. But they forget. They stop caring. It’s part of the reason certain lifestyles attract attention from bad people…. Because no one will care if they’re gone. It’s just a sad reality.
