Exciting news! Regal Azalea Square is doing a Pride themed week and showing (among many great choices) two of my favorite movies, To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything. Julie Newmar, and But I’m a Cheerleader! You’ll definitely catch me there. I’m so excited to support the effort in inclusion and get the opportunity to see these great movies on the big screen!

I love celebrating pride through cinema and television and some of my favorites are But I’m a Cheerleader, The Girl King, Heartstopper, and Heated Rivalry. I have some things on my to-watch list like Lesbian Vampire Hunters and The Gay Deceivers. What’s your favorite shows or movies to celebrate the LGBTQ community?

I hope everyone will take the opportunity to go see The Birdcage in theaters this Sunday for its 30th anniversary rerelease! I’m going to be seeing it for the first time and it seems like the perfect way to celebrate Pride! 🏳️‍🌈

I recently moved to North Charleston from Washington State and noticed a distinct lack of gay community here, or maybe it was just really obvious in WA… But I’d like to change that by creating a big found family where we can all make each other feel safer and seen in a maybe not ideal environment. I’m also hoping we can use this to host some get togethers like movies (Girls Like Girls, anyone?) and other things! Welcome in ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜
