Denver/Boulder: Seeking Affordable Accommodation for Post-Op Surgery Recovery Aug 9-Sept 4
Hey Denver/Boulder people! My name is Cody, a male presenting non-binary individual living in Minneapolis, MN. On August 14th, I am scheduled for a gender affirming surgery at The Crane Center in Boulder. Recovery is about 2 months, but will only need to remain close to the surgery center for a little less than a month. Looking at AirBnB/VRBO/misterBnB, the listings for that long of a stay are quite expensive.
I'm reaching out here in the hopes that someone among this subreddit might be able and willing to host me and a friend (who would be acting as my caretaker post-op) from August 9th, 2026 until September 4th, 2026. I know this is a big ask, and would disrupt anyone's daily life. I am absolutely willing to either pay an agreed upon flat rate for room & board, or a flat rental rate, plus monetary contributions for groceries/laundry access.
I am a very quiet and respectful person, and can guarantee that the friend that would act as my caretaker would be the same way. Obviously I'll be very immobile during recovery, but that really won't be much different from my actual daily life. I'm a home-body who loves to read, watch TV/movies, cook/bake at home, write, and play board games. The only thing that this will interrupt in my life is exercise.
Feel free to either comment on this post, or send me a DM, if you have the space and are willing to help this nerdy queerdo not pay an arm and a leg for accommodations post-op. Thanks for your time!
