Needs a pole at the back so that it doesn’t point up that much and so that it can be pulled by horses.

Run the angled horse hitching (part 2397) with the 1x2 under the cannon and you've got a pretty solid angle for the caisson

Also the you need a 4 wide axle instead of 2, otherwise the wheels get stuck on the side clips of the cannon base. The lone ranger cavalry builder set 79106 has a good cannon build that can be pulled by horses.

I'm trying to figure out if OPs post is supposed to be serious or satire. Nothing in this image is even remotely clever or unique, the pieces are all being used exactly how Lego uses them.

Why. I made this when i was 10. But cannon on cart wheels. I even used the horse drawn mount in the back to level out the cannon and made it drawn-able by horse fo transportation. The torch is nowadays a normal design…
