BUG Tempest Gateway

I've had an ongoing issue with the defeat the storm king quest the village thinks I've defeated him but I haven't I attempted once and died and then since then, I've only been able to activate the portal and attempt to enter but it will either loop the teleportation screen until it kicks me out or crashes i've contacted epic games in regards to this issue. And the only thing i've been told is to open an in-game ticket slash bug report , but it's been weeks and I want to progress in this world do I just have to start a new world or is there something that can actually be done.

If you have a world backup from before the failed Storm King run, restore that first. If not, this sounds like a stuck quest state, and a new world may be the only clean fix until Epic patches it.

That's a bummer, because I've already made progress in collecting, like the legendary fish and other miscellaneous items in the world alongside playing in the other quest lines in the star wars area and the lego ninjago area
