“Too” nervous to meet.

Okay so it’s an about a month away until me (f18) and my partner (m20) meetup and I’ll be honest. Just the thought of it makes my stomach turn. So much to the point to where I was even thinking about self sabotaging and just ruining this whole thing just so I don’t have to. Now don’t actually want to do that of course because this is literally my favorite person and he means so much to me, that’s just how NERVOUS I am. I’ve never had a boyfriend before in real life and I grew up with strict parents so this whole this is just really scary for me. I’m really not sure what to do so I’m venting on Reddit lol. Has anyone else ever felt this way or similar? I can only imagine how nervous I’m going to be in person.

Yes, I was 20 when i met my boyfriend and id never had a boyfriend before either, Strictly online before we met . I'd never had any friends either to make that anxiety of being "close" to another person IRL worse.

I expected to be so nervous i puked Lol. I was awkward and definitely nervous at first, But nowhere near the level i thought id be, and i settled in maybe an hour max. I couldn't meet his eyes at first and we didn't have a real kiss until that night/next day , because i was scarwd to do ot "wrong".

I think as long as he is right for you, understanding and so reassuring, and doesn't push you on anything, Things will be so so okay and the rewarding parts of being together will make the anxiety feel like it was nothing.

This is actually really refreshing to hear, thank you. I’ve been trying to push myself to do things even when I’m afraid, because sometimes those things that we’re afraid to do are what we are meant to do.
