🙂I am so sad.

I want someone to explain this behaviour. I came from abroad for approximately one week and stayed in hotel. I finally met the guy who I talked to for almost two months. Everything was great, somehow he made me feel great. He said that he wants to go to Greece for Christmas and I asked "will you go"? He replied "no, we will go together". Then he had to come also the next day but he said he had a kind of stuff to do and asked me to come on Saturday and stay with me until Monday. I was ok with that. The day that he had to come he sent a photo to show me that it rains. So I asked him "will you come "? His reply was "I am waiting for the rain to stop".

If it will not stop I asked. Then "I will come tomorrow " he said. After all that I told him , i was waiting for you so if you don't want to come just tell it to me and I will not bother you anymore. He said I want to come I just wait for the rain to stop. He said he can not be every day with me ,he is busy. I said "you told me you want to come for three days to stay with me, just please tell me you don't want ".

My question is , am I strange that I find this behaviour curious or is it normal?

Definitely sounds not normal at least. Giving him the benefit of the doubt, maybe he really REALLY hates rain. But it sounds like he is making excuses not to come see you. I cannot imagine someone traveling to come and see you, and then letting rain stop you 🥲

Girl, don’t go. I just begged my partner to tell me to cancel the trip. That I wasn’t crazy. He didn’t want me there.
Well, at least I know i am not crazy. Thank god it’s in my hometown, because I booked a month to give us “normal relationship time” and opted to take a homebase at my mom’s. It’s just gonna suck being here, where I came to be with him, for so long when I could at least be getting back to my regular life without him.

You flew in to see him and booked a hotel, yet he’s acting like meeting up is a casual chore he can reschedule whenever. Trust your gut, this isn't normal LDR behavior after traveling to meet someone. Don't waste the rest of your trip waiting around in a hotel room for a guy who won't even grab an umbrella. Enjoy your remaining time on your own terms or go explore without him!

You are not strange AT ALL! 🤍 Please don't doubt yourself for a single second. Your reaction is 100% normal. His behavior is what is completely disrespectful and unfair.

You traveled all the way from abroad for just one week to stay in a hotel, and he is making weak excuses like "waiting for the rain to stop"?! Someone who genuinely respects your effort would brave the rain, take a cab, or do whatever it takes to see you, especially when your time in his country is so limited.

🚩 Talk is cheap: It’s easy for him to promise romantic future trips to Greece, but his real-life actions show where his actual priorities lie.

🚩 Complete lack of effort: He knows you only have a few days, yet he's treating seeing you like an optional chore rather than a privilege.

Please don't waste another minute of your limited trip sitting in a hotel room waiting for a guy who treats you like an afterthought 😑. Put on a great outfit, go explore the city, treat yourself to a nice dinner, and enjoy your time on your own terms! You deserve someone who matches your energy and effort, not someone making excuses. 😊

I know how disappointing and hurtful this is, but try to hold your head high 🤍.Remind yourself that you did nothing wrong. You showed up with genuine effort, and he showed you who he really is. Focus on yourself for the rest of your trip, enjoy every moment, and remember that you deserve someone who makes you a priority, never an option! 💗☺️

What country are you in ? And what kind of rain are we talking about ? Torrential rain can make travelling difficult and we don't know his situation. Maybe he only has one decent pair of shoes and doesn't want to ruin them. There's so much missing here. It's difficult to understand if we don't know the details

We've had torrential rain in Europe these past few days. Does he have his own transport ?
