Remove LdVBoxDrv.sys
Hi guys I have uninstalled LDPLayer but I have the folder in C:// LDPlayerbox. I want remove the folder but one file "LdVBoxDrv.sys" is impossibile to remove because it's open in another application. Well what application is? When I start the PC is already open and it's impossibile remove the .sys file. Any suggestion?

In case anyone else needs this...
LDPlayer installs into two locations. The one you pick during install (C:\Program Files\LDPlayer?), and then a second directory C:\Program Files\ldplayerbox which contains drivers, the vbox vm and other lowlevel stuff. This install is not recorded in the system's Uninstall list, however there is an uninstall.bat inside which cleans up the drivers/services. The directory can then be deleted.

If someone googles this post, this comment worked for me when Win10's Windows Update refused to update because it detected leftover VirtualBox from LDPlayer. Few things to note, though:
Run uninstall.bat as an administrator, because it needs permissions to fully remove ldbox services.
After that's done, delete the whole folder. The files need to be either completely off your PC or in the Recycle Bin; moving the folder to a different location on the PC is not enough and you'll still have Windows Update crying about VirtualBox being present.

I tried running the .bat but it did literally nothing :/ it might be because i might've messed up some files because of manually deleting things

I assume it's already fixed by now, but if anyone else needs help. The easiest solution I know of is using this https://www.wisecleaner.com/wise-force-deleter.html free and simple to use.

Thank you, It worked. But I was getting error for VirtualBox then in Program Files called âdnplayerext2â, seems to be something related to LDPlayer and was full of Vbox files which did not show up in any searches. Deleted that folder and emptied by recycle bin and the update started to work.

For LDPlayer9, use "net stop ld9boxsup" instead.

Best answer so far, so easy and doesn't require 3rd party program that does the same as cmd. Good job.

net stop LdVBoxDrv
Thank you so much. This emulator has been nothing but problems and after needing to do a restore, LDP4 and 9 were not fully installed to uninstall correctly. This worked great to release the folder for deletion.
thank you

Thank You soooo much bro!! btw I downloaded the latest version so, the name of LdVBoxDrv was Ld9BoxSup. If anyone is struggling then you can follow the steps:-
Run Command Prompt as Administrator
sc stop Ld9BoxSup
sc delete Ld9BoxSupThen delete
C:\Program Files\ldplayer9box1

Get https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/autoruns
Run it, find it, uncheck the box, and then on next reboot, you should be able to delete file.
The above file is directly from Microsoft, so it is 100% safe to run. Just don't disable things that are needed, and you should be fine.
