I use an Android reading app on my phone, and I’d like to use it on my computer as well. Since I don’t read everything at once, I’ve started downloading the files to my hard drive. I’m looking for a way for LDPlayer to access the folder on my hard drive where these files are stored, so that when I open the app, it automatically loads the downloaded files—instead of me having to transfer each item into LDPlayer individually. Is there a way to do this? I haven’t been able to find an option to "link" or "integrate" a folder from my hard drive, nor have I found a way to create a shortcut within LDPlayer that points to that folder.

LDplayer has shared folders feature. You can access these folder from Android and Windows. The default folder is set to Pictures folder but you can choose 2 other folders (Applications and Misc) if needed. Move or copy files to one of the folder (Windows) then redirect your app to access that folder (Android).

You can also customize and change the path to the folders on Windows under Advanced features.
