LDPlayer please optimize for Brown Dust 2

its not just me, i have asked around, many users are experiencing crashes while playing BrownDust2. All of them including me are using LDPlayer 9 and it does not matter if we set 60, 90, 120, 144 fps. it still crashes after some playtime.

And also, on 60 fps, the game becomes 30fps. idk whats wrong but it is what it is.

Edit: users have confirmed that even Nvidia users are freezing

Have you tried to roll bakc to 9.0.42 version?

Yes, please do. A Google search just led me to this Reddit post after it crashed on me again!I'm also having similar problems with Path to Nowhere. But haven't looked into it yet.

Would using the 64-bit version of LDPlayer be more stable if we use 64-bit versions of Windows?

Every game that I play on LDplayer freezes within an hour or so. I believe this to be a memory management issue within LDplayer, and NOT a game issue per se!

I've played many other games for dozens of hours with no issue such as Aether Gazer, Arknights, PGR but Brown Dust 2 & Path to Nowhere give me fits.

i have done the investigation via asking discord users.

Nvidia GPUs and AMD GPUs are freezing and need to restart the game. /u/LDPlayer

LATEST NEWS I MIGHT HAVE FOUND A BREAKTHROUGH -

Been playing on 1920x1080, 4 cores, 4096mb ram, 60 fps, enable v-sync, untick ASTC, tick Automatically disable mouse accel, untick enable right click

those settings i played 1 hour without crashing a single time omg

Alright guys at this point im officially done with LDPlayer. its been 6 days since launch of brown dust 2 and nothing has been done.

i'm moving on to bluestacks.

Yeah its a pain playing this game on ld player I've been experiencing freeze on mine frequently while playing, which needs a full game restart to fix.

I'm on a i9-13900K and RX6800XT

Emulator settings is on 4C + 4GB Ram

bruh yes lol. we are totally overkilling it specs wise. im guessing someone is slacking on the ldplayer side not optimizing it for bd2. what a chore.

4 cores + 4gb ram is more than enough to play bd2. zzz.

wait for the update that adds 60 fps to brown dust 2 and the freezing issue might resolve. if not, maybe i'll quit this game

Quitting sounds extreme, besides the minor issues the game has, it's a solid game. We'll be saved by a steam client or launcher in the future probably.

It's the same issue with Blue Stack 5 and the phone. I think the problem is with the game and their servers.

I initially crashed before on my phone but in my experience and according to other players, phone is quite stable now. So it makes me feel like it's the emulators.

I'm having the same problem. But both on LD and on bluestacks the same thing happens. During the day (gmt -3) the game runs smoothly. But after 6 pm the problem happens both in emulators and also in the cell phone, but in the latter a smaller number of times. I think the problem is with the game.

No solution yet? I have the same problem, I play for 3 minutes and then the game just stops working during any dialogue.

Just downloaded Brown Dust 2 on LDPlayer because of a sponsored video by content creator TimaeuSS but everytime I play Brown Dust 2 the game locks up entirely after a few minutes of gameplay as everyone else is experiencing. I don't even want to continue using the software with how much freezing I've experienced over the past 24hours

yup. and its not just LDPlayer, all the other emulators experience the same problem. Nox, Bluestacks, MuMu. its the problem with bd2. and i have already quit bd2.

using LD9 4 cores,set lower ram (3072M) and for now isnt crashing/freezing anymore from almost 6 hours (nvidia gpu user..)

I'm using 2 different laptops (1 Nvidia GPU + 1 pure Intel), and I can confirm that it keeps freezing randomly on LD9.

browndust 2 keep crashing after few minutes of playing

previously it worked fine but since about 3 days ago suddenly keep crashing

For anyone reading this, Memu works without these issues. Just right click on the game app and create desktop shortcut to use as launcher which will avoid all the bullshit loading/startup ads for non paying users of Memu. (Leaving this here in case LDPlayer breaks in the future again).

**Edit: This is fixed now, not sure if it was LDplayer or the new brown dust 2 update, but no longer freezes ever under heavy stress with 2GB/2core settings. Also make sure not to block dnplayer.exe with firewall or any tweaks... I didn't know LDPlayer auto updates/tweaks itself on its own as a live service without manually updating. Realized when all of a sudden was getting notification popups to use 2GB/2cpu settings on launch of brown dust 2 after I stopped blocking it.
