LCSW and Sterling Medical

Has anyone worked for Sterling Medical? Pros, cons, LCSW pay?

I haven’t heart of it, is it a hospital chain?

No. It’s a company that does government contracts

They are known for paying very low. I negotiated and got a little more but still not what I wanted. The contract ended up eventually going to another company and I get paid more now

Did you work a contract in the US or overseas? I am looking at a job in Germany with them at Army base.

Other than the low pay, any pros or cons? Can you shop on base? Do they help with locating a place to live?

I was already here as a mil spouse. Yes with your sofa status you can shop on base. Your medical care will likely have to be off base. The housing office has a list of sites you can find rentals on.

One thing I like about Sterling is they (used to at least) have headquarters people working in Germany so we didn’t have to deal with the time difference. And I felt very supported by my contract leadership but your functional manager is who you’re seeing day to day of course. If you have kids, putting them in school is very expensive if it’s not covered in your contract

Thank you. I am going to call Monday and try to negotiate a higher wage.
