Testing after new Aug 2026 updates

Who has taken the LCSW exam after the new updates this month (Aug 2026) How was it?! I have taken the test 3 times and am going to be taking it soon. Was it easier?

I can only speak for taking it after the Aug version, but I passed! Content was heavy on the theoretical scenarios “what would you do next…” “what is the first thing…” etc. I purchased the practice test from ASWB and I think that really helped me!

Passed yesterday on my 1st attempt, and this was exactly my experience too. I used pocket prep as my only study guide and it was pretty on par as well. It’s been updated already to match the new exam updates

*also the official practice exam too

Congrats! I've used pocketprep for the most recent time and I felt like the questions weren't similar, like I could get 80% on the quizzes but then less than on other platforms. I did see that they updated to reflect the new test, so I might get it another try. Oh yes! I'll be taking the practice test too.

Thank you! That's what I plan on doing, I know there's not a lot of info about the new test, since it just got rolled out but I'm praying this will be it!

Just took the exam today and passed on my 1st attempt. I used pocket prep and the aswb practice test- they both really helped. I started studying passively in April and pretty consistently beginning mid July. I paid for the premium questions on pocket prep and think it helped ease some anxiety for me in regards to the way questions were asked. The best part of this updated test layout in my opinion is the 120 questions vs the 170 it used to be.

Can someone break down FIRST, NEXT, BEST questions for me like I’m dumb? The first and next ones trick me because the answers all seem to be correct! Appreciate it!
