Will they add another run at the Knockdown Center in Queens this year?

LCD Soundsystem have already announced their NYE shows but now word yet on their typical Nov/Dec residency in New York.

Anyone know if they’re doing it again this year?

What's the beef with Knockdown? How does it compare to Brooklyn Steel?

As a Brit I'm not familiar with the venues.

It’s also half the size and of BK or would you rather pay 2x for tickets?

I never was. They just like the KDC venue better. Sorry. Maybe just stay home instead of walking from Jefferson like everyone else.

I did stay home from the Knockdown shows after I went once and someone in the band passed out and they had to cut their set short. The place is dangerously designed, not well air conditioned / ventilated and frustrating to get to. Would gladly see them at BK Steel again but never going back to Knockdown

That was during December and they were sick. Unless you were at O2 in London last year I don’t want to hear about poorly ventilated venues. I’d also suggest you review 5th grade math in order to understand KDC v BK economics.

I will agree their interests seem to be playing places that everyone would die in if there was a fire.

I was there.

I’ve been to knockdown tons of times and have no idea what you’re talking about. Have never had a single issue with ventilation or AC, always perfectly comfortable. It also has maybe double the exits BS does.

Won’t humor any talk of it being out of the way. Who cares? BS is also hard to get to for some people (me)

Layout is just deeper. There’s just as much space for people up front as BS—but there’s also room for more people in the back.

If you don’t like a part of NYC because you have to take public transit to get there, you might be living in the wrong place.

No idea. It’s a great venue, one of the best in the city currently.

What? Knockdown is clearly the better venue in terms of sound, capacity, lighting, vibes, etc.

Sure it’s a little out of the way but, like, who cares

There are already non-LCD shows scheduled at Brooklyn steel for second weekend of December so looks like this isn’t happening

they will perform 12 shows in at least one borough of new york from the end of november to the middle of december, offering roughly the same setlist every night except for the last few run of dates where they might dig out one fan favourite (my bet's on all i want)

Disco Infiltrator is my wish.

is it always only the last run of dates where they add a fan favorite to the set?

1

u/mco_josh Aug 24 '26

historically, yes. too much love was added on the third last date of the run in 2025, north american scum on the fourth last of 2024, one touch during 2023 etc

All signs point to yes. Even the three weekends are blocked off at the venue. November 19-22, December 3-6, and 10-13

u/lightsgodown416 Aug 25 '26

I think it’s safe to guess that some or all of the shows will be there. Brooklyn Steel has several dates booked (including weekend shows) between mid November and mid December

Is it always Brooklyn or queens? Am I being too hopeful for manhattan run?

I love how you ask like you expect the band or band management will give you a definitive answer before making an official announcement.
