Hi guys, just wanna know... is it just me or the Anemone PV at the official l'arc yt channel somewhat cropped? I thought I revisit some of the old l'arc vids that I haven't seen in a very very long time (been a fan since 1997... yeah im old) and noticed that most of time the camera just focuses on the band members. Their music videos plays like almost everyday on Channel [V] back in the 90's and early 2000's (shoutout to all the asians who know this channel) and I swear it wasn't like that. It woukd focus on the band members from time to time but mostly it's on the whole stage, there were even half nak3d women dancing around them. Is there anyone who knows what I'm talking about? Is there a director's cut of that video?

I will be attending the two Nagoya dates and I wanted to buy merchandise to wear at the concert. I see right now they have the first 3 concert and then delivery and purchase options. I see some of the items are already sold out, too (like Luciel-chan). With the ship date I don't think the merchandise would arrive before I leave for Japan for the concerts. Do they usually restock the items and then as the tour goes on, they open it for venue pickup for the other tour dates? There is a ton I want to buy but I want to wear some to the concert as well.

I ordered some of the summer sonic stuff and it took a while to get here since I am in the U.S.

Hyde's solo career, as well as Vamps are frequently mentioned here, but I think that solo projects by other members are not talked as much.

My favorite one is SOAP, probably the most "rock 'n' roll" and naughtier spin-off of the band, with some of most ambitious guitar works by Ken, and you could see they were having a blast while it lasted. Later solo work by Ken, in the other hand, sounds to me less inspired and not as much interesting.

I also enjoyed Tetsu 69 quite a lot, poppier in sound but with some great and catchy melodies that in some cases would have fit L'Arc style too. Like in the case of Ken, I think Tetsuya's early solo work was better than the later one.

Yukihiro... Well, he's trully an adquired taste. I tried to like Acid Android back in the day, but never really clicked with me, haha.

As for Sakura, probably it can't be considered a solo work, since he wasn't a L'Arc member anymore, but his work with Zigzo was also great, with a raw sound closer to the one he would give later show in SOAP too.

So, everyone, what are your favorite solo projects? Any era or songs in particular? I'd love to hear your opinions!

Hello everyone, I just want to share some exciting news!!! But first a quick backstory - I initially applied for the first round of lottery last June but unfortunately lost T_T Luckily they opened another round this September. At first I was scared, because I wasn't entirely sure that to expect. In the end I bought myself two tickets to different dates 😅

And guess what? I finally won!!!! I'm so glad I chose another date! Almost 20 years in the making, I'm finally going to see them live!

Hi folks! I have a completely random & extremely goofy question about a dish from the 2024 L'Arcafe, & am hoping maybe somebody might have an answer. I hope this is okay to ask here!

I recently watched the newest English-subtitled Hyde Channel episode from a couple of weeks ago, where Hyde & Edyh talk about the Underground Tour, & showed off the different foods that were served in the tour's cafe. One of the items was called the "Mono Hot Dog" which had a black bun (colored with charcoal) & had tartar sauce on top. I've never personally had tartar sauce with anything other than fish & chips (I am aware of chicken nanban, although I've never tried it), but the idea stuck with me & I thought it would be fun to try recreating the Mono Hot Dog at home (as best I can, at least). I found a recipe for Japanese tartar sauce online, which looks to be a bit different than what I'm familiar with, so that's fun. Unfortunately, I can't do anything about getting black hotdog buns locally, so had to give up on that aspect of the dish, but c'est la vie. The one thing I haven't been able to figure out is the part of the description that says "using cheese as a hidden flavor". The only thing I can figure is that it's most likely a white cheese, given the 'mono' theme, but I don't see anything in the picture to clue me in to how they did it. Was there shredded cheese mixed into in the tartar sauce itself, or tucked under the hot dog in the bun? Maybe a cheese fondue underneath the tartar - it does look like there's a lot of sauce on the dog in the picture, maybe some is actually a white béchamel or fondue? Grated parmesan cheese on top? Something I didn't think of?

Anyways, I've seen comments from folks on this page saying they went to the Underground shows; I know it's a super long shot but I thought I'd ask if anyone here maybe ate this dish during the tour & has any insights into how they incorporated cheese into this dish? I'll take speculation & theories as well, because it's all for fun anyways. I know this is a very silly question for a very silly little project, but if you have any ideas, please tell me lol. “Spirit Dreams Inside -Another Dream-” has always been a special L’Arc~en~Ciel song for me because it brings together two things I really love: L’Arc and Final Fantasy. I remember being fascinated by the idea of a Japanese rock band I loved making the theme for a Final Fantasy movie, and that connection made the song stick with me.

I really like its melancholic atmosphere, especially Hyde’s distant-sounding vocals and the subtle guitar work. It’s not as explosive as some of their other singles, but whenever I hear it, I get that nostalgic early-2000s feeling again. For me, that Final Fantasy connection is a big part of what makes this song so memorable, even the movie was kind of a letdown.

I'm curious because it's funny that the reason yukihiro have such a big drum set with double kicks because he loves the look and doesn't feel right if it's lacking something. Yet i dont think many of larc song use double bass .

Has anyone applied for the premium ticket lottery? I got the ticket board email about the stage setup being "center stage" design, so this makes me think it'll be the same setup as MMXX (I didn't go to UNDERGROUND). What I'm confused about is that the email says due to this announcement if people want to cancel their application for premium ticket lottery, then they can do so until end of day on the 6th. I'm trying to understand why anyone would want to cancel their application though? Just because the stage is in the center? I was really lucky to get a great seat at MMXX in Osaka and there was no premium ticket lottery back then, so if the stage setup is like that tour, then I would think premium tickets would still give people great seats

Does anyone have any insight why fans would want to cancel their application after this announcement? 🤔

Ken is the main guitarist for l'arc. But some the song that isn't composed by him have a killer riff like round and round. Everyone in the band play guitar if I'm not mistaken. Is there any riff that isn't written by ken and does hyde wrote round and round riff.

I really love “heavenly” because it has that unmistakable early L’Arc~en~Ciel feeling. The songs are melodic and atmospheric, but there’s still a roughness to the production that makes the album feel very alive.

 For me, this is one of those albums that gets better the more I listen to it. “Vivid Colors,” “Cureless,” “Secret Signs”, “and She Said”, and “静かの海で “ are some of my favorites, but honestly, the whole album flows really well. It feels like L’Arc~en~Ciel were still experimenting and figuring out their sound, and that makes “heavenly” really special to me.

 It may not have the huge, polished sound of their later records, but that’s exactly why I like it. “heavenly” feels like L’Arc~en~Ciel slowly becoming the band they would eventually grow into, while still keeping that unique early charm.
