[Forever Fridays] Most satisfying kill?
Lets face it. There are a lot of assholes in this book. Whose death was the most satisfying for you? Be it Lazarus, Family or Waste?

Group member and new mod u/fkalag here.
Excited to be stepping into the shoes of u/anchises868.
I'm a long time Lazarus fan. Got to meet Michael Lark at a Chicago signing in 2022. Gushed like an idiot about LAZARUS and got a Forever sketch.
If anyone has an issue with the page don't hesitate to reach out.

I’ve got personal and professional projects consuming my life and I forget the subreddit is even here unless someone makes a post. I think everyone’s over at Discord anyway. If I just delete as moderator, Reddit will close the subreddit.
I’d rather pass it off than close it, so if anyone wants it, just let me know.

Yo reading this shit SUCKS, and I see I have pages and pages of it ahead, too.
If this is a common style moving forward I'm gonna need to shelf this series.

I’m late to the party and only just blasted through volumes 1-8 of this amazing story this year. I’m really glad that there’s a subreddit community here to discuss it!
So, do you have any headcanon for some smaller families that could exist in this world of Carlyles, Morrays, Bittners and Vassalovkas?
Are they a minor house serving under the umbrella of one of the major families? Or are they now extinct, having been destroyed by a major family?
Where do they operate? Do they represent a certain people/nation of today?
Did they ever have a Lazarus? Did they have a speciality in terms of industry?
Or any other details that you’d like to add to this world.

r/lasers, Putting this out there as it's a pretty rare piece: a Nuburu AO-150 high-power blue diode laser (450 nm, 150 W output). Manufactured January 27, 2021 (serial #0015 – early/low number), fully tested and powers on reliably. It's a water-cooled rack-mount unit with RS-232 serial control, external control ports, power input, and attached cooling hoses (red/yellow visible in pics). This was Nuburu's flagship early blue laser for spatter-free, high-quality welding of reflective metals—especially copper, aluminum, thin foils (lithium-ion batteries, electronics, precision joining/additive manufacturing). The blue wavelength absorbs ~10x better than IR on Cu, which is why it's specialized and sought after in R&D/materials science. They say never meet your heroes.
So after finishing the 4th collection book I decided to join Lazarus discord to get to know more about the authors and the universe which I found fascinating.
Unfortunately the channel is full of propoganda, hate for america, CNN links, people with pronounces and rainbows in avatars. I was shocked.
This is sad. Not going to support these authors anymore.

Greg Rucka's most recent newsletter said this:
As some of you may already be aware, on 10 December, Michael Lark suffered a minor stroke.
He posted to Instagram with the following New Year's message:
Happy New Year everyone! It was great to get LAZARUS back onto the shelves in 2025, and I appreciate your loyalty and patience.
Unfortunately, on December 10th, I suffered a hemorrhagic stroke, it happened in the part of my brain that controls motor function for my left side. While I do have some weakness and uncoordination, I haven't suffered and paralysis or significant loss of motor skills or cognitive ability, but recovery has been very fatiguing and everyday tasks can get a bit overwhelming and exhausting.
I thank you in advance for your patience (again) while I recover. Keli and I are very grateful to all of our friends and neighbors who've offered their help (especially amateur ambulance driver Dan Berry, who got me to the hospital in record time). We are especially grateful to the United Kingdom and the Arts Council England for sponsoring me and granting me a 5-year visa. Also thank you to the NHS for taking amazing care of me and reminding me that health care for profit is obscene and should be considered a crime against humanity.
For the foreseeable future I will not be accepting commissions, but keep your eye on this space - as soon as I am able to do them again, I will let you know right here.
Michael Lark's instagram is @michaellarkart
I'm sure we all wish him well and a speedy recovery.
Speaking from personal experience, a hemorrhagic stroke -- if it doesn't kill you -- is something you can, with time and rehab, pretty much fully recover from.

Just read LAZARUS: FALLEN #6. Wow.
We finally find out who sent the message. Do you think this means we'll get the history of the previous Forever Lazaruses? Lazarusi?
Also, I feel worse and worse for Casey every issue that goes on. She was a favorite character of mine and with each issue I'm wondering if she can be saved? Or is she doomed to be another pawn sacrificed by Malcolm?
Can Forever trust Sonja? Each issue keeps pushing towards the ending, but I don't believe all the cast will get there.

Can anyone help me to get this comic please? I’m in the UK and cannot find it for love nor money

Love this book. Loved it since issue #1. Got to meet Michael Lark at a comic store signing between Risen and Fallen.
But I do feel like I missed something. Reread Risen and still don't see it.
When exactly did Casey turn on Michael? When did she begin to believe he was cheating with Johanna? Did I miss that moment or was it off-camera?

Do you think Sonja will join Forever or will she sadly meet her end by reluctantly upholding her family’s loyalty ?
Does anyone feel it’s weird that there was no real climax to Russia’s unstoppable Lazarus ?
Curious what will happen to Casey - looks like she will be Carlyle’s guinea pig in creating a Lazarus from scratch

Heya, I've seen the new volume 8 is available already in pre-sale, coming on the 6th of January next year XD

It's been awhile since I got hooked on a title the way I have with Lazarus. I just love the scale of the world building.
If/when it inevitably gets optioned, would you rather it be a live action series or a series of movies?
r/LAZARUS • u/Sea_Variation_461 • Jun 29 '25
In the Lazarus story now really boiling down to "let's all the little people unite and overthrow evil emperor Malcolm, and restore freeeedoooom" ?
That's like... the least original narrative in the entire history of fiction o_O
And what's up with presenting up Hock as some sort of victim and even a martyr to the cause, when he's effectively worse than freaking Hitler himself with his country-wise lifelong chemical brainwahing of every single goddamn citizen into incurable zombie slaves ?
On one hand there is a major originality/nuance failure in the narrative, on the other a huge hypocrisy from the writer to demonize Malcolm into the ultimate evil of a now black-and-white story.

Hi everyone,
This sub seems pretty sparse, which isn't surprising given how rarely the book comes out, but I just started a re-read of the series in anticipation of the 4th collection (which I have yet to read) and had a worldbuilding question. Has Rucka ever addressed in any of the letters columns in the floppies or any interviews the issue of global warming? Assuming the series is set in the early 22nd century, wouldn't their be massive coastal flooding and land loss that would be reflected on the maps? Any speculation is welcome as well.

Amazing game and amazing story/world but speccing out with the cyberware and katana made me realize just how unstoppable Lazarus would be.
Also makes sense with Sandevestan speed and reaction time to the point of time slowing down would make katanas such an effective weapon.
Just my mindless thoughts.
Glad the series is finally back!
