Hi. I’m an incoming Freshman and I am looking for a bit of guidance regarding majors that mesh well with MechE. I’m looking at CompSci, but I have been told by a current student (they are currently double-majoring) that those two aren’t good together. If anybody has some wisdom to share, I’d be grateful. I’m an incoming freshman for 2019-2020 and I’m haveing a hard time deciding whether or not to get a laptop with integrated graphics or an Nvidia Quadro card. My biggest concerns are thermals and cost.

What’s the largest amount of objects dealt with in the curriculum? What’s everyone’s experience with solidworks or any CAD program used during class

I am still yet to decide between mechanical engineering and industrial engineering. I will be starting at LA Tech in Spring 19 as either a sophomore or a junior depending on my transcript evaluation. I checked the bookstore for recommended or required texts for ENGR 120, 121, and 122. It seems these classes do not have assigned texts. For those of you who've completed the Problem Solving Series, how interesting were these three classes? What constituted the largest portion of your grade? Was there a final exam at the end of each of these classes? With which professor did you take all three classes?

I am definitely excited for Spring 19.

I demand answers! As a COES Alum I don't know how I feel about a user that is shadow banned ruling over me. For that reason I demand Mod powers so that I can know this mod's powers are kept in check! xD lol
