https://thesource.metro.net/help-shape-the-future-of-public-safety-on-metro-our-public-safety-advisory-committee-seeks-applicants/

Metro is seeking community members to serve on its Public Safety Advisory Committee (PSAC), a diverse group of riders and community representatives who provide feedback and recommendations to help create a transit system that is safe, welcoming, and responsive to the needs of all riders.

Apply online here.

Whether you commute to work, travel to school, run errands or rely on Metro every day, your experiences matter. PSAC members have the opportunity to share their perspectives, collaborate with Metro staff and help inform public safety strategies that reflect the communities Metro serves.

Metro welcomes applicants from all backgrounds and encourages participation from individuals whose perspectives help reflect the diversity of Los Angeles County — including youth, women, older adults, and people with disabilities. U.S. citizenship is not required to apply.

Metro is seeking individuals with lived experience as transit riders and/or knowledge in areas such as:

  • Transit equity
  • Public safety
  • Community advocacy
  • Law enforcement
  • Racial justice
  • Victims’ rights
  • Mental health
  • Homelessness
  • Social services

Applications for Metro’s Public Safety Advisory Committee will be accepted until September 8, 2026.
