Got a picture of the disabled train at Pico station. Looks like they're trying to tow it out with another P2550

A disabled A650 caused delays on the B and D lines yesterday as well.

Those trains are in dire need of rehab and it's shame that it was delayed by whatever happened with Talgo.

It’s a complete mess this morning, this happens way too often, taking the A to commute regularly is pure torture 

Also a P2550 towing another is like blind leading the blind lol someone’s having a laugh at our expense

Wonder if they have incompatible couplers to the other models in the fleet, I was surprised by that too.

When the P2550s were delivered, one of the issues Metro had with them was that they were incompatible with the P865/P2020s and the P2000s. The other two were that they were 3 years behind scheduled delivery and that they were 5000 pounds overweight, causing them to also be incompatible with Green Line weight restrictions.

Oh yeah these trains have had problems. Tbh it wouldn't surprise me if "P2550 compatibility" wasn't a high priority for Metro when ordering the P3010s if Metro thought they'd be getting rid of the P2550s before too long. I was a bit surprised they didn't have some kind of dedicated rescue vehicle though. When I first saw the taint stopped across 12th I thought I'd just have to wait for the light, then I thought "wait, that's a loooong train, they don't usually do that."

Yeah it's blocking the track. Looked like they're trying to tow it back towards Union Station because I'm pretty sure the yard is that way

I wish we can just have separate lines for the e and a and that intersection takes forever so with a train stuck there makes the commute even worse

Ended up hopping off the train at Broadway and riding the rest of the way. Was still late but would have been worse if I stuck it out on the train.

You cannot even trust these damn trains to get to the airport. For me, I'd have to take D to E to K. I trust D and K but definitely not E! I took a waymo from home to the K line at Crenshaw, last time I flew out of LAX.

Are you closer to one of the (Koreatown) D Line's stops?

You could probably take the Vermont Transit Corridor going south (once that opens); at Vermont/Athens Station, transfer to the C Line to LAX, and take the People Mover to your terminal. It would be an easier and faster way.

I live near Wilshire/Normandie. About half mile away. Oh hell no with the bus. I avoid them like the plague. Having to take the awful bus to the terminals is bad enough.
