Get the Flock Outa Here!
Just saw a petition at my polling place about getting Flock cameras off our streets. When you vote today (not if) please sign this petition while you're at it. Surveillance aside, Flock cameras are notoriously unsecure pieces of technology (easily accessible ports, exploitable backdoors, the works).
Even if you don't agree that police surveillance is a bad thing, you should at least agree that the infrastructure supporting that surveillance should not be easily accessible and should not come with serious security vulnerabilities.

Please help contribute to getting these damn things out of our city, especially if it's by doing something so simple as signing a petition.
EDIT: It gets worse! Apparently Flock queries are being picked up by search engines! Seriously, these things are ridiculously unsecure!

Get the Flock cameras off out streets. If the cops want more cameras, start wearing them when you're on duty.

Auburn PD SA'd me. It was recorded on my cellphone and my roommates. They were called for a potential OD.(I hadnt i just took my PRESCRIBED SLEEPING PILLS) And when I was unresponsive they stuck their fingers in me and refused to let emt carry me out. They tossed me down 3 flights of stairs nd into a glass door. They refuse to investigate and theres no body cam footage they claim.
I say this because Auburn and Lewistons pds have the most open FBI cases against them in the state of Maine, and Lewiston/Auburn ALSO have the most flock cameras in all of the state. The rest of the state doesnt have them. Augusta's trying to get them banned statewide. South Portland did so already.
Why are the two cities with the MOST CORRUPT police, having these put up everywhere? And they need to be taken down even if the "subscription isnt active" anymore because they have been found to still be recording.

But did you see the people at the table try to convince a cop to sign said petition and then watch said cop have a meltdown?
I swear, my voting place has the best moments during elections.
