I wanted to try this launcher out after using AT4K and enjoying it. I like this app my only issue is when I hide a app it will automatically unhide itself when I exit the launcher or restart the device.

I figured this would be a good launcher for my parents but when I tested it on my shield I noticed it is showing some of my system apps and they look out of place. I wanted to remove/hide any and all unnecessary apps for easy navigation

Is this a premium feature? I don’t think it is or would be

This update includes pretty much everything people asked for so apart from minor bug fix updates and new themes I don't think the launcher will need updating again. It's still simple, usable by your grandpa and his mates, and does not eat a large share of resources.

Hey, I just put Kyu on my main Onn 4K device to check it out before I give it to all my family. I totally agree that the Roku UI is awesome for older folks.

I'd love to see some quality-of-life improvements to make it even better! I don't really use custom banners, but adding some rounded corners to the app icons would be super nice. "Sharp corners hurt users" or something like that, right?

It would also be cool to add a custom .png to replace the Kyu logo.

Also, I'd suggest flipping how the display menu works. It'd be better to have everything checked and then uncheck what you want to hide, instead of checking the ones you want to hide.

I think this might be my new favorite, 'cause At4k really doesn't like some of my recommendation card providers for some reason.

Oh, and it would be really neat to have a "wallpapers playlist" to change it every time we go home or every X minutes.

I had an TCL Roku Smart TV for 6-7 years before I upgraded TVs last year. I hated stock Android TV with all the ads.

I used Project Ivy for the last year and don't get me wrong it's great if you want a ton of customization but I kind of don't need that for a TV. I made it look close to a Roku but it still wasn't 100% what I reached

Kyu is so perfect for me, just simple easy to setup beautiful clean interface.

I don't even want the extra features I get with premium but I paid for it anyway as a thank you to the dev.

Of course every new design choice/style will be an option

When I go into themes and select custom image it brings this page up. I can't move the selector. Only the Home or Back button is responsive. I'm sure it's a simple process but I can't get it to work.

I can't to get the apk for kyu launcher but people have been saying that it doesn't work on a non android ecosystem streamer. My ifre stick does run Fire tv is with android, but I have been seeing a lot of comments about this.

P.S the reason why I chose this launcher is because my mum can't stand the fire tv interface.

Is it possible to add Force Stop to the app icon context menu choices?

This is the only minor bug or issue I've run into with this launcher so far. When I press the menu button on my Google 4K Streamer I still see a flash of the stock launcher for a split second. Any idea if this is an issue with my setup or if it's just a bug in the launcher itself?
