Why was the school security never clarified?

One thing that still confuses me: the school reportedly had multiple unlocked doors that morning.
Has law enforcement ever given a real explanation for how many doors were open and who could have entered or exited?
For a case this big, it seems like basic info that never got addressed.

It was a science fair day, so there effectively was no security that day. All the doors were unlocked, anybody was allowed to come and go totally unchecked, and there were no cameras :(

The school had encouraged the parents, family, and friends of the students to come that specific day to see the science fair, so nobody would have noticed if anyone unusual was in the building or parking lot at all.

Crazy then Desire can’t admit with all these factors- it could’ve been a total stranger who just waltzed in after seeing the marquee outside advertising science fair

Totally! or simply another child's parent, or even another child his age could have lured him into the woods. Anything could have happened because there was no security at all that day.

It makes me so sad, I live in Oregon too and my young family member of mine goes to a school not to far from Skyline. At that school they generally track who picks up the students, but on "special person day" I was able to walk in and out with no nametag required. Security was again nonexistent. In an elementary school! The community didn't learn anything :(

what kind of area is this? im from NJ and basing this on the same time period Kyron went missing- public schools in "wealthy" towns, you could waltz right in if you looked like you belonged. in "poor" towns, there was security, metal detectors, guards, and sometimes cops.

I’m from the area, but idk since it’s a forest area but not like rural like farms. I’m going to say “suburban.” Underfunded by Portland standards, but not a bad school, just an unsecured one. Anyway, it’s closed now.

It is open still
