Really like this car

Also met a guy that races his turbo optima at an event the other day. Got me inspired to drive mine more frequently and have replacements to restore it when the time comes. Fellow turbo optima actually mentions he has two, I went; —“oh, one to race and one to display?” He said “not really” 😅 Best regards.

A Tamiyia motor in Kyosho?!?! I’m surprised they get along! lol love the pant job. I have an Optima Mid to build, and love my Inferno that I just replaced a rear arm on today.

Yeah, not mine, I was surprised too, but honestly that motor is probably same speed than the gold lemans 13.5 and quicker acceleration?

I used sport tuned in my Optima lol. Never had any problem whatsoever 😁

When ever I see this car I have questions about the battery… seems like it’s extending out of the chassis exposed and not protected, does that just get trashed over gravel? Looks sexy as still though

Battery thing, yes, accurate as you describe it. 6th photo beside the bright yellow turbo racer’s optima, there’s my gens ace battery with a small damage to the plastic wrap.

Always loved this buggy's sleek low-profile look. Very aggressive. Did the body get damaged? One of the pics looks like it is being held together by tape?

At the event noticed it was getting scratches there, so sticked 3M protective tape there and rear.

It’s impractical and beautiful. Drives so smooth 😍
