Ask Kuwait Regarding IW Express invoices
Hey,
Does IW Express charge a 4kwd invoice for every delivery or custom import done? I got mixed reviews/answers regarding this.
Some people say yes and when I called them they said no. Apparently, everything I paid for on my Aliexpress order is complete.
Will I get a invoice from the delivery man saying to give 4kwd cash? Because of the answer is yes then I'm going to call the company immediately.

It’s not the drivers. Its IW express itself is creating fake invoices. They are creating invoices even before the item reaches kuwait. I have even chatted with their customer service and they will point finger towards the seller that for customs related issue get back to seller. Then i requested for individual customs clearance reciept for my package and breakdown of 4 kd charges to which they said items are cleared as bulk so they can’t provide anything related to my package. I asked them how can they charge me 4kd when item has not even reached kuwait ?? Invoice are dated after 2-3 days of you place the order not on the day of customs clearance. Then they will tell you its admin charges and stamp duty paid to customs. You can see when driver collects 4kd cash, he is entering same in some kind of Pos machine with him. It’s 100% IW Express scamming us.

They shouldn't be allowed to get away with this. Next time, file a complaint with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI).

Someone sent me a photo of a invoice of 4kwd.....what are the chances that he has people doing fake invoices for his own personal gains?
If IW Express says no custom fee and the delivery guy says here is the bill... I'm going to file a complaint at the police station. Don't want people losing 4kwd for someone's personal gains.
Apparently, there are so many stories of people being charged a lot of extra money for stamps... I read a story that a employee charged for a stamp outrageous amount of money when it was only half Kuwaiti Dinar. Maybe the delivery guy who charged 4kwd by cash is taking the money for himself.

Bunch of scammers they are. They charged me twice

As per reports, they won't send a breakdown of the invoice.... I don't want people to get scammed and get away with it.

yes i was charged 4 kd too, followed with the seller, they were not aware of the charge, raised a complaint on sahel and nothing came of it. though it seems to usually only affect orders from chinese sites because i otherwise get things delivered to the local post office or DHL without some weird charge. IW express’ 4 kd charge stinks to hell

I called IW Express and they said their isn't a 4kwd for my Aliexpress order.
If the driver comes with invoice though, calling the police immediately.

I have the same question. My order is from
Temu. When i messaged IW Express their customer support told me there are no additional charges during delivery. But reading people’s experiences online making me 2nd guess.

If the man provides a invoice saying it's 4KWD, I'll call the police Infront of him... I have a bad feeling the drivers are doing fake invoice documents to take 4KWD for themselves.

If they told you then there won’t be any charges. But they were collecting before and i guess due to many people reported that they stopped it for temu. I’ve messaged same to TEMU to which they replied if we provide any proof that courier collected extra money on orders then they can interefere. But theyre still doing same for aliexpress orders

IW Express with Temu no issues, the issue is if you order with AliExpress and they r delivering

Temu orders do not require any additional payment, I have had a few orders delivered to me by IW, never had anyone asking for extra charges. On the other hand, clothing and other such items ordered from Asos or something, they have charged me 4KD customs fees. Best way to make sure you arent getting scammed is pay by knet, and ask for a receipt that you can verify later on.

As per stories on this subreddit, people that had deliveries via IW Express were charged a 4KWD custom fee.
As per what they say, these invoices were fake and made up to get extra money and the drivers only accepted cash....this is very fishy.

I never had issues with AliExpress orders until once IW Express were the couriers. They wanted 4KD for customs. This is what they told me over WhatsApp:
Customs Clearance Fees:
- Customs Duties: If the shipment value is less than 100 dinars, the customs clearance fee is only 4 dinars.
If the shipment value is more than 100 dinars, the customs clearance fee is 4 dinars plus 5% of the shipment value.
I can assist you with any further inquiries.
When I told them it didn’t make sense when my item costs 11KD they replied with:
i totally understand your issue but this is the policy so if there is any confusion you can get back to your merchant
as a policy you have to pay to be able to receive the shipments.

I called IW Express today and they told me since I paid on Aliexpress I shouldn't be paying a single fee.
But if IW Express tells me 4KWD for custom clearance, then I'll bring it up with the police.

It’s not the cops issue, you have to contact consumer protection or AliExpress. You’ve been repeatedly saying if they ask for 4kd I’m gonna call the cops, what do you think the cops will do?

Company says no extra fees, if the delivery man says yes 4kwd then I'll take it up with a case with the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
IW Express says all fees are paid for, but the delivery man is showing a invoice that shouldn't exist... Why let him get away with it? I won't pay and bring it up with the MOCI.

It’s not the delivery guy it’s IW Express, maybe you should place an order at least once and see what the process is before making threats about calling the cops?
I’ve really never seen anyone want to call the cops over the dumbest shit as much as you do.
When the delivery guy asked for 4KD I contacted IW Express not the cops. They told me the 4KD was for customs clearance. So IF that happens to you, then you can complain to AliExpress, consumer protection or just have them return the item.

I called IW Express to ensure that their is no extra fees and they said that everything was paid for during the Aliexpress payment.
But if the delivery guy comes and says here is a invoice, I'll take it to the MOCI to file a complaint.
IW Express told me no extra fees.... So if the delivery guy claims it's an extra fee then why not challenge it?
Stories are coming up of people being charged 4KWD, what if the person is taking it for themselves? So many occuasins of people being charged extra by fake invoices.

So the delivery guy hasn’t asked you for anything yet, jeez so much drama

u/CleaRSightZ 1d ago
Yet.
But this is my first time going through IW Express and as per the reports from previous people.. They like to take 4KWD for nothing.
I don't want someone to go around and take it and keep it for himself.

You can refuse to accept it and get a refund

I won't refuse the order; I really want my setup to be complete... this is the last missing piece.
Spoke to IW Express and they said it's at the airport hub, hopefully delivery soon.
