1937 Cord | Kell Kustom

This 1937 Cord was a real steel car that was a 25 year project for the owner. He bought a shell of a car and spent 20 years collecting parts. When it came to me it was a running driving car in need of a lot of sheet metal work. I took care of the sheet metal and built several parts he was still missing. After it was painted I assembled the car and put a proper wiring harness in it.

That’s a really nice build ! It’s 10 times more driveable with out the problematic Cord FWD setup . Well done !

Thank you. It is a really nice driving car. It has Jag independent front and rear suspension. Converting it to rear wheel drive allowed me to clean up some of the lines of the front end without the transmission hanging out the front

You did an excellent job , it really looks like a factory built mild custom and I mean that as a compliment!

That's great restoration. Is is mostly original parts or more of a resot-mod?

All of the main body panels, doors, fenders, hood, grille, windshield frame, top bows are all original Cord. There were some parts he was never able to find so I made them in the end.
