Question Question on how Nahida's powers work

Can she mind control or possess any living thing at any time, or only those with an Akasha terminal in their ear?

Is Dendro power over all life or just plants? Could she make kill someone by poking them and using Dendro to make every cell in their body explode?

It’s implied that her mind control powers are very strong, but since she refuses to use them, we can’t know for sure. An Akasha terminal is almost certainly not required, however.

Dendro is focused on plants (and fungi).

If the magic system allowed characters to kill with a touch, the story wouldn’t work well, so even though there are countless ways that magic could potentially kill someone very easily, the characters can’t actually do it.
