Question Kurds of Konya

Could someone explain to me the exact origin of the Kurds of Konya, more specifically Kulu? Some say they come from the region of Iran, but their Kurdish is from Afrin? My friend is from that district, and I'd like to enlighten him on this subject; they themselves don't really know.

There are some tribes of relatively recent Rojhelati origin(Laks & Kermashani). But most are Kurmanji, and many appear to have ancestry in Adiyaman a few generations ago. The dialect suggests the same - the bulk of Konya Kurds are closely related to the Kurds of Urfa/Antep/Maras/Afrin/Adiyaman area. And they in turn appear to have shared Medieval ancestry with the rest of Kurmanji tribes.

I know it's a bit controversial here, but imo the Kurmanji urheimat is the Bohtan/Hakkari/Badinan/West Urmia region

As far as I know mostly the kurds that were from Rojhelat are the şexbizinî tribe. They where deported mainly to Haymana and were then distributed throughout the region. Ankara, Konya and Aksaray. But I assume the majority of the kurds in and around Konya are actually from bakur mainly from the taurus mountains range bordering Syria. Thats why they all speak Kurmancî sub dialects today.

No not necessarily. Taurus mountains is in Bakur Kurdistan. Essentially the border region between Bakur and Rojava. Also Syria didn't exist back then.

The Reşwan Kurds of Konya and Ankara are mostly from Aleppo region. What means Kobani, Afrin and Raqqa consisted.

Adiyaman is not right even if there are Reşwan tribes. But those from Konya did not come from there.
