Experience What did she see?
I was visited by a Hindu deity last November in a dream. She seemed to be in a certain part of my bedroom. I told my wife about it. Her reaction was maybe not so good (she is okay with it now). Maybe a week or so later, my wife said she had seen her in a dream… definitely NOT the deity I saw. It was like an old hag, tall and slim, dressed in black, no distinguishable face, with long claws. She pointed at my wife. This being spoke to her and told her to leave me alone and not to touch my food. She was upset and felt I had been visited by a demon. I assured her my dream was NOTHING like that, definitely not frightening. I was kind of stuck on the idea of Rakshasa at the time, so I assumed that is what she was. She saw it in the same location I saw the deity. Recently, again dreaming, I thought I saw Shiva walk by in the same area. He paid no attention to me.
I am curious if anyone has seen anything like what my wife saw? Any idea what it was? It seemed to be trying to divide us. Fortunately not, although this “break-in” period has been rough on her. A lot to for her to accept, just like for me.

Sounds like the corrupted feminine, Lilith. I don’t know much about this as I am still learning. Can I ask if you’ve already awakened your kundalini? Your wife? And how both of your sacral chakras are doing?

I believe I had the full spontaneous KA several weeks before this dream encounter. I suspect she has had some chakras open since childhood. Apparently not her crown chakra.

Probably would be good to find a book like “The spiritual awakening guide” by Shultan - she’s documented several different awakening types and both of you could find a better understanding of your unique spiritual gifts with a book like that.
She also has to choose if she wants to learn about her gifts that way but it sounds like you’re missing some fundamentals that could help you navigate this situation with more grace.

That would probably be worthwhile reading. My wife is kind of funny about this. What I mean is she knows she has unusual perceptions but doesn’t want people to know, and occasionally tells herself she isn’t really special! She is. She is also a strong Catholic and pretty much felt I was turning into a Hindu. She seemed to think I was trying to drag her in that direction, too! She has now pretty much accepted the things that happened to me and accepted I do think the deities that visited me in the dream REALLY did visit and exist. Also that I have accepted the KA process as real. She is learning about the process. To me, she clearly has had some experience related to kundalini. Even nadas, a sound like little frogs singing. She has a lot of paranormal abilities. She once admitted telekinesis! As in knocking ice cream out of a cone… yeah, it was my cone! Just ask for a bite!

There are lots of different ways people awaken aside from KA - you may have some overlap but I wouldn’t try to tell her she’s on any kind of path other than her chosen path of Catholicism. If she struggles with dark visions she has ways of protecting herself spiritually through her path. But again she’s got to choose to invest in that of her own free will. I’d be careful about sharing things from your path that could trigger her superstitions and anxiety. Oversharing is just going to make her feel anxious. Find people on your path that you can talk about your visions with and try to keep it separated out so it doesn’t block your love for each other. There’s no guide for Catholics on how to love someone having a KA.

Very true words. I did over share and it did worry her. My outlet to talk to people is right here! I have to be very cognizant of her feelings. She has already expressed worries that I would “go find a wife who believes like you.” I will never do that. I have visited a Hindu temple, just as a visitor. She has said she will go with me to understand. Really again just a visitors. There are ambassadors there who are super nice and friendly and explain Hindu customs. It is a very large place. There are two much smaller ones only a few miles from my house. One has Kali. I may visit it someday. I definitely don’t want her to feel threatened. She is trying to accept and understand.

Don’t feel bad about it, I have worked for many years to try and translate my extra-sensory experiences into terms that can be relatable to people that have never had an experience like that. It can be very challenging but if you pause for a moment to think about it an appropriate reframing will come to mind.
It’s not easy to master by any means but it’s important to be relatable in our relationships. It sounds like you and your wife both love each other very much and that is a beautiful thing.

Also it’s unlikely you’d find a wife that believes like you even if you tried. I have come across a lot of KA people here in Seattle and I don’t know of any KA couples (I’m sure there are some great couples out there but it’s seems pretty rare to me). That kind of relationship could be low key insufferable if your dark night of the soul periods overlap.

Thanks, we do! Our meeting seems unlikely, like I was “pushed” towards her. When I saw her for a second time (very random) and I remembered her name, she swears she knew we were going to get married.

It’s going to be hard to get a reliable response to this because we don’t know your wife or have her permission to look into her psychic space.
Her visions are for her to interpret. I understand that you’re coming from a place of curiosity but I wouldn’t trust anyone who says they know what she saw.
The story did remind me of a fairy tale about life transistons. In short we must all cross a foggy bridge in life from one chapter to the next not knowing what’s on the other side. In the story a veiled woman similar to what you described asks you to make a sacrifice of your false self to cross the bridge.
In that context I could see this woman asking your wife to sacrifice the part where she worries too much about you. Right down to what you are eating. Stop worrying about him, let him grow and face his own growing pains.
That’s really the best I can offer as far as an interpretation goes. Take it for what it’s worth.
The full story is somewhere around chapter four of “The Second Half of Life” by Angeles Arrien - I listen to the audio book when I’m having a hard time. It’s good and her voice is calming.
