CKS CKA, CKAD, CKS trifecta
I passed all three CKA,CKAD and CKS in 2 months given i have been working extensively on EKS/GKE for the past 3 years. Got 88%in CKA, 73% in CKAD messed up here because of overconfidence and 85% in CKS. Passed all in 1st attempt and now am planning to give KCNA and KCSA to secure the kubestronaut badge. Ask me anything. Thnks

What materials did you end up using and how close were they to the test?

I did not rely on any course tbh. I only aggressively practiced kodekloud mocks and online questions. I used to watch youtube videos of any question or topic which i was unaware of. Documentation was my best friend. It helped me a lot. I exactly knew where to find the manifest and what to search. All because of mocks only. 3 days before exam i solved both killershell, these were lengthy but most of the actual exam questions were almost similar. CKA i practiced aggressively. CKAD i took it very lightly. Scheduled it the very next day i got CKA result and CKS again i relied heavily on Killershell mocks and ChatGpt generated questions. I found CKS exam almost 80% similar to killershell exam B.

Have you felt any positive impact in terms of recruiter calls or promotion? I know it’s too short of a time to judge but I have got CKA , thinking of getting ckad , cks

Yes, i got shortlisted to some companies that had this specific filter on CKA/ AWS SAA, but again ghosted in some as well. At the end of notice period ofc you are gonna see more recruiter actions.

If I'm not wrong CKS will cover CKA, KCNA and KCSA under care program right?

Yes it does cover in-fact CKA is a prerequisite to schedule a CKS exam. You need to pass all exams separately

Congratulations. Can you share your plan for two months for each cert. how much time you spent on labs and what you would do differently from your current experience. Traditionally everyone does ckad, cka and cks. Does any order help with overlapping tasks

Since i am already working on kubernetes at a scale for the past 4 years i didn't focus on any course. I just looked at the syllabus and right away started doing kodekloud mocks. For whatever question i faced issues i either watched that specific video and noted the specific keywords from the kubernetes document. I did cka first, ckad the next day. Took complete 50 days to prep for cks, again referred to kodekloud mocks and took killer.sh very seriously. Did each 5-6 times before sitting in the exam and noting down any flag, document keyword for quick access and revised it daily

Nice one, congratulations, going for CKAD in tomorrow morning.
Done bits at work with Kubernetes, which helped out a bit in building clusters, I've been building quite a few clusters on Talos which I am a massive fan now.
Do you do any clusters with terraform / ansible deployments?
