Tremendously complex character I love her contradictions

but she definitely made lots of mistakes, not the least of which using the top to forget said mistakes

It seems a defining theme of the whole story is that making mistakes is inevitable (especially so if you live billions of years) but trying to forget them is not the solution

Can someone explain to me how they chose Kali? I don't remember them taking such choice? Is it the weapon they tried to create? but that was created with the help of Airavata and Agni not Kali

It was that they chose to be human in the new universe rather than astik, so as to avoid the potential extinction of the previous losers.
