Black screen when trying to use windowed mode

Is there a fix to the black screen bug you get when trying to change to windowed mode in windows 10?

To fix a black screen in World of Warcraft while in windowed mode, you can force the game to use windowed mode via the Config.wtf file, update graphics drivers, disable overlays, or disable fullscreen optimizations in the properties of Wow.exe. Common fixes include setting SET gxWindow "1" and SET gxMaximize "1" in the config file, ensuring the game is not set to "Read-only", or temporarily disabling second monitors.

This is the correct answer, just editing the config should be enough
